Initial contract until 30/10/2026 with possible extension paying approx. $1,000/day Brisbane CBD Location with flexibility to WFH 2 days per week End-to-end implementation of an ICT system that will manage the lifecycle of capital build projects Our client, a large complex Queensland Government Department, are currently seeking a Project Manager to lead the end-to-end implementation of an ICT system that will manage the lifecycle of capital build projects. Technical Expertise required: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge in ICT project management , particularly in the delivery of technology solutions and system implementation. Apply sound knowledge of ICT systems, enterprise architecture, and technology infrastructure, ensuring alignment with organisational and project requirements. Possess written and verbal communication skills that are clear and concise, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including technical teams, contractors, and executive leadership. Apply sound business management skills in corporate governance areas and model ethical behaviour, consistently applying those ethical standards to self and others Demonstrate strong skills in program/project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, with a focus on ICT design, implementation, and integration within capital build environments. Ensure all project deliverables, milestones, and reporting requirements are met within agreed timeframes and budgets, with a focus on ICT implementation and integration within the capital Work flexibly without supervision, effectively managing new and unexpected events and demonstrate judgement about when to escalate issues. Work collaboratively with others Build and sustain positive relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met or exceeded. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimise disruptions to timelines and outcomes. Adhere to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including QuickStarts Qld requirements and procurement guidelines. Foster a workplace safety culture by adhering to WHS policies and ensuring compliance in all operations. Provide regular, accurate, and insightful updates to senior management on project performance, risks, and opportunities. Ability to describe how your work contributes to organisational objectives. Qualification and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience aligned with key skills and competencies. Certification in one or more project management methodologies (Prince2 Agile / MSP certification or similar is highly desirable) Minimum 7 years’ experience in a comparable role. Experience in large public sector environments preferred.
